This Spalding Official National League, Ford C. Frick baseball was stamped for Navy use during World War II. The baseball is signed by 16 members of the United States Coast Guard Academy's 1945 baseball team, the "Dolphins." With former and future major leaguers including Randy Gumpert and Ernie Kish (Athletics), Doyle Lade (Cubs), Dee Sanders (Browns), and Ken Wood (Browns, Red Sox, Senators).
