GENDER DISTINCTIVE CLOTHING! (Unisex Clothing is a Moral Issue...)

This sermon is a continuation of our Biblical modesty series. According to Deuteronomy 22:5, gender-distinctive dress is a moral issue. Therefore, unisex clothing designed to be worn by both men and women is a clear violation of God's command given here.

Sadly, the feminist movement's influence on Western culture over the last 170 years has successfully blurred gender lines when it comes to dress, and this is by design.

What many don’t realize is that pants, a traditional man’s garment, became a symbolic icon of the feminist movement. It was representative of their entire ideology. YES PANTS ARE A MAN'S GARMENT!

Now many will say that pants are not specifically mentioned in this verse and that I am reading them into it.

Well, they are right in that pants are not mentioned, but when we examine things from an ideological perspective and also from a historical perspective, it is clear that pants on women have been adopted for the purpose of muddling the gender distinctions concerning dress. Now it becomes a moral issue.

You may say, “But women’s pants are specifically designed to fit the contours and shape of a woman’s body. Therefore, they are technically a woman’s garment rather than a man’s.” Again, when examining the ideological argument behind the adoption and acceptance of pants on women, we find this to not be the case.
