This story was inspired by the farmers' agitation that successfully concluded after an year long struggle....

A few lines from the story: Attempting to speak in English, Lallan, with a choked voice, shared his story. "Yes, sir. I'm Lallan, from Uttar Pradesh. I'm a hawker, selling soap, brushes, oils, combs, and scrubbers. I haven't had any business for two years due to the pandemic. I used to sleep on the streets and ate just once a day. Then, the farmer's movement began. We feasted and received food twice a day here. We slept on mattresses inside the tents, not on the cold pavement. But now, we'll be back on the streets, with perhaps only one meal a day." His eyes glistened with tears.............
