Cortez Boston identified as victim in shooting near Xavier University in Cincinnati

Twenty-six-year-old Cortez Boston died in a double shooting at about 12:39 a.m. Monday at 1820 Rutland Ave. not far from Xavier University. The second victim was a man in his 20s who was shot several times and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police said he was not alert when taken to the hospital. Police said neither victim was a student.
