Semipalmated Plover Feeding

This diminutive avian has captured a special place in my heart as one of the beloved "Snowbirds." While the Semipalmated Plover breeds in the Arctic, it's not uncommon to spot these charming creatures gracing Florida beaches during the winter. Perhaps it's the name itself that draws me to this delightful creature; after all, "Semipalmated" hints at its unique characteristic of possessing partially webbed feet. In captivating slow-motion footage, you can witness its delightful foraging behavior, seizing and relishing small worms carried in by the ebbing waves.
