Mayra speaks in opposition to the California school regulation that children 12 and older can leave the school during school hours for medical procedures and the school will not inform the parent that they left or what they left for.

If the parent were to call while the child is gone, the school would tell the parent that "they will locate their child and have them call them back as soon as they can."
