Are Wearing Crystals Sinful?

Have you ever wondered if wearing crystals is sinful?

First, Admiring the beauty of crystals that God made? That's not sinful. Revelation 21 has precious gems all over God’s kingdom.

But some believe in crystallomancy, thinking crystals can magically provide guidance and power. So, is this sinful?

The short answer is yes. Deuteronomy 18 and the like warn against seeking power outside of God.

Why? Two reasons:

First, God genuinely loves you and wants the best for you. No crystal or magic has your back like God does.

Second, this warning is for your protection. The spiritual realm is very real, and there are entities out there that would harm you if given a chance.

Now, here's the twist.

Many turn to crystals out of great need for guidance and power. But the Book of Proverbs says wisdom is more precious than any precious gem.

Here’s the deeper truth about reality. You don’t need crystals for guidance and power because Jesus Christ is God's wisdom and power (1. Cor. 1), and he’s more precious than any precious gem.

Remember, it's not what's around your neck, but what's in your heart. Seek the ultimate gem: Jesus Christ.
