I wanted to see if it was possible to beat Doom 1 in VR, or whether it was a novelty like playing Doom on a calculator or a pregnancy test.

The verdict: Every level in Doom 1 is playable and beatable in VR on Ultra Violence from a pistol start. I'm not yet a Nightmare or UV-Fast player, so I can't speak to those.

Voxels are disabled again. The voxel mod is nice, but it's best used for maps that don't have a large number of enemies in open sky areas. Anyone watching on a flat screen will likely not see the difference between pixelized enemies and voxelized enemies, but when you have depth perception, voxels are infinitely better.

This concludes my let's play of Ultimate Doom for the Oculus Quest 2, played through QuestZDoom on the Ultra Violence difficulty.

Mods: Alternative Vanilla 3D Weapons; High Res Textures; Customized MIDI soundfont (using Merlin, Chorium, Roland, and self-made samples).
