This 15th-century church recently gained attention as a result of its presence in Dan Brown's renowned novel "The Da Vinci Code."

The mysteries of the architecture were ultimately revealed to Stuart Mitchells and his father after hundreds of years - a procedure that took the father and son team 27 years to complete.

The patterns etched in the distinctive cubic architecture that protrudes from the cathedral's walls piqued the Mitchells' interest. Angels performing music are carved into the sides of the cubes.

The Mitchells decrypted a medieval-sounding piece of music known as the Rosslyn Motet by matching these patterns with cvmatic frequencies.
