Out of all possible ratings: Terrible, Bad, Average, Good, Great....

My rating, based upon my playthrough experience, is: Good!

Back before games like Resident Evil 5 pushed Survival Horror games into the co-op space, there was Obscure. Obscure was a game about a bunch of high school students trying to survive a catastrophe tied to their school's past, and the people that run it.

Overall, this game was a lot better than I expected. Most of the mechanics held up well considering its age. Sometimes, old games like this are a punch in the face to play (Rule of Rose.... I tried playing that for Halloween Horror 2021 and cancelled it), but this game wasn't and ended up being quite fun and challenging at times.

If you have any interest in playing it, I recommend downloading and installing PCSX2 to your Windows device and playing it that way, as used copies of this game are extremely expensive due to rarity.
On PS2 it averages $200, Xbox it averages $70-80, and on Windows it's much cheaper, but the question is if it plays on modern PCs, and if you have a disc reader.

Obscure is available on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows.
