Mary Lou Retton, the onetime Olympic gymnast who captivated a nation in winning gold at the 1984 LA Olympics.

She is reportedly suffering from a serious bout with pneumonia and is in the intensive care unit at a Texas hospital.

Yet despite her fame the 55-year-old Retton reportedly has no health insurance, so her children have established a gofundme campaign to pay for medical expenses.
