Gaza Children at Risk

The Gaza Strip, located between Israel and Egypt, has for years been a troubled point of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. As hostilities between the Israel Defense Forces and the Hamas group escalated last year, more than 500 Palestinian children were murdered, with another 3,000 injured in Gaza alone.

To offer support to both children and parents plagued by fear and anxiety, UNICEF psychosocial support teams, operated by the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, are visiting hospitals and homes. Many of them are sheltered in UNRWA establishments.
