The key to being ready for a healthy relationship is that people feel they are lovable, so they do not have to feel they have to sacrifice anything to deserve love. They do not abandon themselves or give up their friends, hobbies, careers, and family. They stay attached to what matters to them and recognize that if someone asks them to give that up, they will not because they have that centered place.
