Think Tanks And The Lost Opportunity For Peace Between Russia and the US | David C. Speedie

How is it that the West managed to squander 3 decades of peace in Europe? Why are these people so adamant about ignoring all warning signs from Russia (and China)? Why has the West chosen to ignore each and every redline of the other Great Powers? Well, the West got as drunk on power as Yeltsin on Vodka, losing all self-control. And Think Tanks had a role to play in this folly.

In this episode, I'm speaking to the creator and narrator of the documentary "Playing for Power", David C. Speedie, who is a native Scotsman and has himself worked for many years for US Think Tanks, most importantly he was the founder and former director of the Carnegie Council's program on U.S. Global Engagement and he was a founding member of The American Committee for East-West Accord.

We will be tapping into his experiences with US Think Tanks to explore more about what role these institutions are playing in US global politics and US hegemonic control.
