On the calm fall night of November 13th, 1974, the peace and quiet of the sleepy town of Amityville, NY, was shattered forever. On that night Ronald "Butch" DeFeo Jr. slaughtered his entire family of six with a .35 caliber Marlin 336 rifle as they slept in their beds.

In December 1975, George and Kathy Lutz purchased the house at 112 Ocean Avenue, in Amityville, NY. They moved in with their three children and dog named "Harry."

A mere twenty-Eight days later, the Lutz's fled the house, leaving behind all their belongings. They claimed that their family was terrorized by strange paranormal phenomena during their time living there.

Their story was sensationalized into the bestselling book "The Amityville Horror," which went on to become a major motion picture and captured the attention of the nation. This led to a world-famous investigation of the house by the famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

But the question remains, what really happed at the quaint little Dutch Colonial house at 112 Ocean Avenue in 1975?
