he Republican Party’s search for a new speaker is officially underway. One of the individuals being floated is Donald Trump. While a nonmember of the House can technically become Speaker, the problem is Trump is disqualified due to rules the GOP adopted in January that requires Republican leaders to step aside from leadership if they’re charged with a crime that could result in two or more years in prison. We’ll talk about that particular rule as well as the fallout from McCarthy’s ouster in this video.
