Nampa Train Depot Celebrates 120th Anniversary

The Nampa Train Depot is celebrating 120 years since it first opened its doors in 1903. The depot was built to accommodate the growing railroad traffic in Nampa and was designed by architect Friedrich W. Clark in a unique style that combines Renaissance, Baroque, and Romanesque Revivalism.

Sadly, the depot was only in operation for about 20 years, but it played an important role in developing Nampa. It was a nexus of four different rail lines and helped to connect the city to the rest of the country and world.
