Swiss Ball Bench Press

I much prefer doing any dumbbell bench press or dumbbell push exercise on a swiss ball compared to a standard bench.

I find the scapula’s wedge on the bench and I don’t have the same recruitment I get on the swiss ball. When you’re on the ball you have to contract your glutes to keep your hips up. Your core is on, you’re getting increased proprioception in the feet to keep you stable. As well as more recruitment from the stabilisers in the shoulder.

Swap the bench for a swiss ball in your next workout. Make sure it’s a good quality ball not a shit one. AOK health is our favourite brand. We sell these ones on our site.
