Benite Jeune – Rise Haiti

The world is a complex and dangerous place. Haiti, may not lead the news, but the country continues to struggle for stability. Our friend and founder of Rise Haiti, Benite Jeune joins us to discuss the latest in Haiti. Benite was forced to flee Haiti because of the current security situation following the assassination of Haiti's president, Jovenel Moïse, in 2021.

The violence in Haiti is such that the UN has deployed Kenyan forces to the country to attempt to quell gang violence. This unrest and incivility has forced Rise Haiti and other youth supporting organizations to scramble for funding and support. Benite will provide us with updates on a variety of ways we can put money directly into the schools that feed, house and educate children.
