Christian Bale Transforms Himself For VP Role

Can you guess who that man is? Yup, that's Christian Bale, the most beloved Batman and one of the most famous actors of modern Hollywood. If he looks unrecognizable to you, that's because he is preparing for a role for the upcoming Dick Cheney biopic, 'Backseat', in which he plays George W. Bush's Vice President. This is not the first time this talented actor has undergone severe body change to better fit a role.

For the psychological thriller "The Machinist", he famously lost a whooping 65 pounds and ate only an apple and a can of tuna a day (yikes!), but he is also known for bulking up his muscle mass for American Psycho and the Dark Knight films, and sporting a pot belly in American Hustle. He truly is an acting chameleon and dedicates himself to each and every role.

The upcoming movie still doesn't have an official title and has not yet begun filming. Adam McKay is going to be directing this biopic and the film will also star Steve Carell as Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Amy Adams is going to appear as Lynne Cheney. Bale and Adams previously worked together on “American Hustle.”

We have to give it to him - changing your body in a dramatic way for a role is a brave thing to do and not every actor is up for it.
