POLICE FOILS NUP NATIONAL PRAYERS

Police has dispersed national prayers organized by Uganda’s leading opposition party NUP. The organizers wanted to pray for NUP supporters alleged to be held in detention.

The organizers of the prayers who were roughed up by police at the NUP Head offices in Kamwokya a Kampala suburb were the party secretary General Luise Rubongoya and the Party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi.

However, NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi speaking at a media briefing at his Magere residence revealed that a team of lawyers have been dispatched to establish the where abouts of the arrested party members.
