Dota 2 The International 2023 prize pool, Counter-Strike 2 Bans, Faker Military Service and more

Dota 2 TI 2023 Prize Pool
Seems like Dota 2 glory days are over, that's if we take into account The International Prize pools. Because apparently, the ‘Dota 2’ International 12 or TI 2023 prize pool is historically low. Not the lowest but one of the lowest. According to the Dota 2 price tracker website, the contributed prize pool so far is 2.8 million USD this is as of October 5. Why is it 2.8 million low? Well that's because if we compare it to the previous TI events, for example The International 2021 has a total prize pool of $40,018,195 and The International 2022 has a total prize pool of $$18,930,77.

So why is this happening? Earlier in the year Valve announced that the traditional Battle Pass that is used to crowdfund the TI prize pool would be going away. So instead, a new system more focused on the pro scene would be used, so that system is called the ‘Dota 2’ Compendium. According to Forbes, the compendium is similar to the crowdfunding structure they had 10 years ago. Because of this a lot of players found it very disappointing because it lacked the usual arcanas, immortal treasures, and skins that have traditionally been major incentives for purchase. There are two price tier Standard which costs 7.49 usd and Upgraded compendium which costs 29.99 usd. So if we go by the numbers seems like people voted with their money and didn't buy the compendium resulting on lower TI contributed prize since 25% of sales will contribute to the prize pool. Then according to the Hawk website Valve plans to raise The International 2023 prize pool to $15 million. This information was shared by Zhanna 'Red' Batkovna, an esports manager for Dota 2 teams, on her Telegram channel and also the sales are not done yet so maybe there is a chance? But i don't think it will be breaking records like what we previously had.

Counter-Strike 2 Bans
Since Counter-Strike 2 came out there had been an influx of players from new to old and because we can't have nice things cheaters joined the party. But good news because according to Dexert the most popular CS2 cheats are now being detected by Valve. So to those cheaters who got detected they got VAC banned. On a side note, a Counter-Strike 2 account with $1.5 million skin inventory has been banned. According to Dexerto a Steam account called S4ck was hit be a community ban.

Faker Military Service
Last week we talked about how the BTS Fans are angry at Faker because he might get an exception for military service if he won the gold medal in the Asian games. Well he did it their team won and got the Gold medal so not only him but their whole team namely Chovy, Kanavi, Zeus, Keria, and Ruler. Not sure how BTS Fans will feel about it but it is what it is. From what I've read online some older BTS members have actually started their military service.

Jujutsu Kaisen
Let's first talk about Jujutsu Kaisen, I'm sure the majority here are aware of whats happening on the manga but unfortunately will talk about the game. So mainly there is an upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen game called Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash.

Spider-Man 2
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch for PlayStation 5 on October 20 are you excited? I have no PS5 so Ill wait for the PC release. Apparently Adidas has partnered with Sony and Insomniac again to release Spider-Man 2 themed shoe collection. So far Adidas has unveiled the Ultra 4D Advanced shoes.

Diablo 4 Steam
On the release date of Diablo 4 Season 2 which is on October 17, Diablo will also release on Steam. You have to buy it again though, but what do you guys think about this? I have one concern though do you think Diablo 4 will be review-bombed like what happened on Overwatch?

Elden Ring
Have you guys played Elden Ring or any souls game? Is it difficult? Well I can't blame you because apparently, even a WWE star had a hard time with the game. Because according to Dexerto WWE Superstar Randy Orton reportedly paid $1,000 to level up his Elden Ring character.

iPhone 15
Several days ago we saw several articles online saying the iPhone 15 is overheating. Recently Apple released an update for iPhone called iOS 17.0.3 to fix the overheating issue. Im not sure if it works for iPhone 15 pro owners out there let us know? Does it still overheat or did the device got slower let us know!
