A Salute to (90% Now Frosted Toast) Gardens 2023

National Weather Service nails it again (BROADUS would be nearest station): https://www.weather.gov/byz/2023FallFrostFreezeProbs -- Inspection after last night's 28 (say 26 at least in lower garden) confirms Show Over for this year. Lots of vines survived but not enough leaves for photosynthesis to support the late bloomers.

20 or so orange or close-enough. A half dozen maybes and perhaps as many just too small to ripen as well as a potential of 50 late bloom flower buds (doomed at any rate). SALUTE, 2023! Warmer weather may help a few more stragglers from pumpkins to tomatoes but for the most part yields were beyond expectation, no losses past my own learning curve errors, textbook harvest/season timing and results that more than justify expansion next year.
