This was an amazing project to not only film but to watch from a distance. This machine is absolutely amazing!!! This is the largest One-Pass Trencher in the world. The MT4500 has 4,500HP and over 1,500,000 lb-ft of torque. No other Trenching machine has that much power or can trench to 160 feet deep. Dewind has built another MT4500 which was used on this project.

We filmed for two days in both sun and in rain. They were trenching 70ft down and adding their special mixture with the soil to create a solid wall underneath the surface to reinforce the Edenville, Dam in Edenville, Michigan.

If you don't know the story of the Edenville Dam failure, it is a tragic story for the Edenville area as the dam failed in 2020. Dewind is part of the restoration story as the residents and officials try to get back to normal.
