Emily Sisson Returns To Chicago Marathon 2023 After Breaking American Record Last Year

Two of the top American women marathoners, Emily Sisson and Emma Bates, will headline the 2023 Chicago Marathon on October 8. Sisson is the current American record holder in the marathon, with a time of 2:18:29, which she set at the 2022 Chicago Marathon. Bates is the third-fastest American woman marathoner of all time, with a time of 2:22:10, which she set at the 2023 Boston Marathon.
