The Zo’é people are a native tribe that live in the state of Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon. They are part of the Tupi-Guarani linguistic family and have a distinctive culture that includes wearing wooden plugs in their lower lips, practicing polyandry, and having complex marriage rituals. They were contacted by evangelical missionaries and Funai agents in the 1980s, after living in isolation for a long time.
