Local Hurricane Shelters to Open as Hurricane Irma Nears

Shelters for those who need it during the event of Hurricane Irma will open in two Southwest Florida counties on Friday afternoon. A Special Needs Shelter will open at 2pm at West Glades School, 2500 S Co Rd 731 SW, LaBelle. Persons in need must have a caretaker with them while staying at the shelter. Please bring enough food and water for 3 days.
