EP19: Global Migrant Heritage Foundation People’s Ball 2023

The Global Migrate Heritage Foundation (GMHF) is a non-profit, non-government service oriented organization that recognizes and honors the Filipino Immigrants. It seeks to preserve and teach about the cultural of the Philippines in the National Capitol Region. The organization assists immigrants with a verity of services including legal, labor relations, medical and health. In addition to all of this, it promotes Filipino culture and works to improve the image of Filipinos through out the country. The foundation’s slogan is to “Live a life that matters.”

The Global Migrate Heritage Foundation works with many of the service and cultural organizations of the region to promote unity between the Filipinos, Filipino Americans, and Americans through its many activities.

This year, my wife was honored with an award of appreciation for “Community Service and Promotion of Cultural Diversity”. This past year, as the COVID restrictions on travel and gatherings has subsided, my wife has been active in the Filipino American Association of Stafford VA (FAASV) cultural committee. Her, along with her fellow members, have performed several cultural dances. Each time, further promoting the rich and diverse cultural of the Filipino Americans.

In addition to promoting the cultural through dance, she has also served the community through service. Working with the International Lions Club, through the local AAA Lions club of Alexandria, helping to provide site screening for local and international underserved community members. The

October is US American Filipino History Month, as we observe the contribution of Filipino Americans to the history of the greatest nation on the planet, I figured I would share the video of the Entertainment from the Annual Global Migrant Heritage Foundation USA People’s Ball. I am so proud of her accomplishments, I figured I would share.
