Dill as it is

This is what dill looks like in May. This is young dill. Ideal for harvesting. Everything (stems and leaves) can be frozen for winter cooking. Later, dill is not as good for harvesting. The stems become stiff and there are very few leaves. Dill is planted at the end of March. But the harvest must be done at the end of May. Until the dill grew tall and released seeds. Today, October 7th, I burned old dill stalks. Now there is just dug earth. Perhaps next year I will plant dill again.
