What is going on in Australia?

AEC representatives are going into nursing homes to collect votes for the Voice referendum from dementia patients, without family members present!

73 year-old Elaine was there to witness it — she happened to be there visiting her husband.

Purple balloons and a large, purple VOTE YES sign set up right in front of the elderly patients, as they were wheeled into the arts and crafts room to vote.
