Ribbon cutting at Little Caesars Arena

Chris Ilitch, Marian Ilitch, Tom Gores, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Gov. Rick Snyder and more were on hand for the official ribbon cutting and opening ceremonies at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday morning. The events at the Chevrolet Plaza are the first of many during Little Caesars Arena Preview Week, which concludes Sunday with the Hocketyown 5K after public tours on Saturday. Then, next Tuesday, Kid Rock will open the building with the first of six shows, before the Detroit Red Wings hold their first ever hockey game, a preseason game, on Sept. 23.
