DailyKenn.com — 50-year-old Billy Chemirmir was killed by his cellmate at Coffield Unit prison in Anderson County Texas.

Wyatt Busby, 39, reportedly beat and stabbed Chemirmir with a shank or "knife/edged instrument".

Chemirmir is accused of killing 22 old ladies in north Texas by suffocation, then stealing their jewelry, over a two-year span.

His method, apparently, was to confront his elderly female victims in their homes, overpower them, suffocate them with pillows; then take their jewelry.

He was convicted of killing two; Lu Thi Harris, 81, and Mary Brooks, 87.

Takeaways:

• There is no outrage from women's rights activists

• There is no outrage from advocates opposed to ageism.

• It appears that perpetrators who fit certain profiles are exempt from condemnation; apparently because they, themselves, belong to an assumed oppressed class of people.

According to nbcdfw.com:

"Chemirmir was arrested in 2018 after a 91-year-old woman survived an attack and told police a man had forced his way into her apartment at an independent living community for seniors, tried to smother her with a pillow and took her jewelry.

"Police said they found Chemirmir the following day in the parking lot of his apartment complex holding jewelry and cash, having just thrown away a large red jewelry box. Documents in the jewelry box led them to the home of Lu Thi Harris, 81, who was dead in her bedroom."

Busby is serving a 50-year prison sentence after he was convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of a man in the Houston area in 2016, according to court and prison records.
