Philadelphia's NIGHT OF CHAOS: How Looters Targeted More Than Just Liquor Stores
The chaos that recently swept through Philadelphia's retail landscape led to an unprecedented closure of all liquor stores in the city. Eager for an excuse, organized groups targeted a wide variety of retail stores, from Foot Locker to Apple and Lululemon. Sean M. Kelly, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, cited employee safety and damage assessment as reasons for the closures. This trend of 'five-finger discounts' is becoming an all too familiar tune that's leaving its mark on businesses large and small. In the not-so-subtle backdrop, entities like Antifa have been caught adding fuel to the fire. It seems like a strategic move, co-opting social justice movements as a smokescreen for their own chaotic agendas.
Notably, the retail damage is not just an isolated event; it fits into a broader pattern of disarray affecting cities across the U.S. Local businesses and even giant corporations like Target are fortifying their stores or shutting down altogether. And why wouldn't they? Safety has become a luxury that's hard to afford. While some city churches virtue-signal by displaying social justice slogans, business owners are left counting the costs and locking their doors. Law and order is fast becoming an extinct concept in some of these areas, replaced by a circus of lawlessness that serves nobody but the instigators.
