Saluda River Stone Ruins - Very Large Ruins Discovered On A Forest Trail

These stone ruins were massive, and seemed to be built into the river. They were in terrible shape, as though the site had been abandoned a long time. I wonder who built them as there were no signs or writing that I could find.
