Jan Jekielek asked Rep. Tim Burchett, one of 8 Republicans who voted to oust McCarthy, what he thinks about Republican voters criticizing the lack of unity.

His response: "I don't represent anybody in Washington DC that works up here or lives up here. I represent the second district of Tennessee & I represent those folks. And that's part of the problem. That's what they call the uniparty. You close the doors and the only color they see is green. And that's the color of money. And that's all this is about. They want a kumbaya session. I'm not going to violate my oath to office, and I'm not going to lie to the people back home…And if they run me out of town on a rail, that's the cost."
