Demonstrators protest against offshore drilling plan in Argentine Sea

Protesters hit the streets of Mar del Plata, Argentina opposing plans for oil exploitation in the Argentine Sea.

The protest coincided with the arrival of the BGP Prospector ship, conducting seismic exploration in the sea to determine potential oil reserves over 300 kilometers off the coast of Mar del Plata, where YPF, Shell, and Equinor plan to drill in 2024.
