The Guise Of The Online Harms Bill

My take on the Online Safety Bill being implemented in the United Kingdom, under the semblance that it will protect children and adolescents from predators online.

My Opinion:
I believe that the Online Safety Bill will obstruct freedom of speech and expression within the controversial communities, such as discussions on immigration crisis, COVID and the vaccine, LGBTQIA+ issues, and more. I believe that it was presented under the vague description of protecting younger adolescents from the tens of thousands of predators online so that concerned parents will welcome the Bill with open arms. Those who put the Bill forward used children to their advantage, to get under the skin of parents who worry for their child's safety whilst using the internet.
Growing up with social media since I was 14, I know first-hand that a predator wants to groom a child, they will. If it's not successful, they will try with another.
The example I used in this clip is one of many I could have used. The link to the article here: https://news.sky.com/story/sex-offenders-using-virtual-reality-to-abuse-children-as-victims-describe-feeling-phantom-touch-12954906
Another example is not one I found as an article, but I witnessed somewhat myself, along with others. A TikTok trend, whereby children as young as 8 were being groomed by groups of older men and women. The adults would follow the child's account, and then persuade him or her to make the account private, so no-one else could view. The child would then be groomed into recording themselves in little to no clothing.
As an example of my own experience, they will prey on mentally ill women, form a relationship with their victim, pretending to be their age. Once trust is developed, they will ask for lewd photos. If you reject this advance, they will threaten to share any secrets you have told with your followers and friends online.
Predators will always find a way if they want to abuse and take advantage of minors. I also fear that if their addiction to the vulnerable is not dealt with, and they lose online access, then they will become more skilful in person.

As you may have gathered, I am another spinoff of the evergrowing alternative media movement. I am the alternative media, showing the world how I see it, contrary to the mainstream. This comes with large setbacks on social media, including but not limited to censorship. I have managed to obtain 11 strikes on YouTube within 2 years, and had many posts removed on popular platforms such as TikTok. Like many others, I have resulted in creating many social medias to keep us up and running:
