Ukrainian President Zelensky proudly receives a banner of the 14th Grenadier Division of the Waffen SS ‘Galicia’, which aided the Nazi in committing the crimes of German occupation including the mass slaughter of Jews, Poles and opponents of Nazism.

Zelensky’s grandfather, Semyon Zelensky served as an infantryman in the Red Army during WW2. Semyon’s father and 3 brothers were killed in the Holocaust.

Why does Zelensky embrace the history of Nazi collaboration and glorify it, against the memory of millions of Ukrainians who fought in the Red Army to destroy Nazism?

Why does the media insist that the fact that Zelensky is Jewish, is a good enough defence for the fact Zelensky glorifies Nazi collaborators?

And why does the media not recognise that the Ukrainian Armed Forces seems to have an obsession with Nazi symbolism and wearing the iconography of fascist criminals?

Note: Yaroslav Hunka, the Nazi applauded by the Canadian Parliament, was part of this very division.
