The Lakeville Police Department released body-worn camera footage of police shooting at a suspect last week.

Video shows an officer at an intersection, where 45-year-old Timothy Hladik could be seen in his SUV holding a gun.

The officer repeatedly yells at Hladik to drop his weapon and put his hands up. Hladik can then be seen coming out from behind his SUV with a gun in his hand.

Hladik is seen raising his weapon when the officer begins shooting. Hladik can be seen moving back behind the SUV before the officer investigates further.

Police said on Sept. 29, that a Lakeville officer was parked in the area of Pickens and Precinct Street when another car pulled up by the officer.

During the exchange, Hladik allegedly used threatening language and then took an offensive stance and raised his gun.

The Lakeville officer and an off-duty Massachusetts State Trooper both fired on Hladik and gave him emergency treatment on the scene.

Hladik was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford for treatment and was arraigned from his hospital bed, where he was held without bail on Monday.

Both officers were placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting.

He is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threat to commit a crime.

Hladik is set to appear in court on Oct. 12.
