Study finds senior mobility impacted by TV
7 years ago
Too much TV may cost seniors their mobility. A new study found excessive sitting after the age of 50 significantly increased the risk of disability and television was the biggest culprit. People who watched at least 5 hours of TV a day and did little exercise during the week were 3 times more likely to have mobility problems than more active seniors. If you can't give up your favorite shows, experts suggest walking in place during the commercials.
