Rebuking Pastor Coleman with his carnal minded false doctrine

I want to thank my sister in Christ for sharing this FB post from this very confused and misguided pastor - Marshall Coleman -who is misleading many by his errant doctrine.

DOCTRINE MATTERS

Doctrine is: Learning The Teaching of the Word of God (thethirdheaventraveler.com)

Here is a perfect example of vulnerable feeble minded non bible reading Christians who follow this teaching without questioning.

Below is the quote from this so-called pastor:

Note: I will comment in red letters.

Evening saints need you to weigh in on this:

Carnally mind Checklist.

Pastor Marshall Coleman

In Genesis 1:26 man is made in the image of God that is not the body .

Colossians 1:15 God is invisible

The image is that...

No! An image is NOT invisible and certainly the image is not INVISIBLE. What kind of mind thinks that an image is invisible? What kind of mind thinks that man is invisible? Scripture is clear that Jesus Christ is the IMAGE of the Invisible God. Colossians 1:15 KJB. The next verse 16 tells us that Jesus Christ created everything including man who was made in the IMAGE = BODY with face, hands, legs. etc. We know in Colossians 2:9 KJB that Jesus is the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY - BODY is an IMAGE a body is a 3-dimensional person. See my extensive study on Godhead VS TRINITY that details the meaning of IMAGE and PERSON.

God's Spirit lines up with our spirit.

Jesus lines up with our body &

The Father lines up with our soul

Lines up? Well, the faculty of our Body is physical, and Jesus has a body and has certainly always been physical. And it only makes sense that since we were created in His IMAGE we are in a physical body. Because we were created after the likeness (3 parts body, soul and spirit), there is a correlation to our spirit is spirit that communes with the Spirit of God - The Holy Spirit. The faculty of our soul is our volition, will, emotions, and that would be as the Spirit of God, The Father functions within Jesus Christ - "I came not to do my will but the will of my Father." John 6:38-46 KJB.

Genesis 1:26 The Likeness is ..

Thinking like God

Acting like God &

Laboring with God

No! We were created after the LIKENESS of God in that we were created in the essence of 3 parts BODY, SOUL, and SPIRIT . See Genesis 1:26 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJB. This pastor is creating all this illogical jargon out of his carnal mind which is enmity against God (Romans 8:7) and from his vain imagination and the pagan Trinity of his RELIGION which after the Philosophy and Tradition of MAN and NOT after Christ. Read Colossians 1:8 KJB. Interesting that verse 8 precedes verse 9 which is the definition of the Godhead and NOT the Pagan Trinity. See my full commentary in Notes below.

Mans ability to be in God's likeness was stopped because of sin.

No! After Likeness of the Godhead was from creation and we never lost our 3 parts. What Adam and Eve and we the descendants of Adam did lose was our faculty of communion with the Holy Spirit in that we were spiritually dead.

When we trust in the Gospel found in 1 Corinthian (sic) 15:3-4 we now have a way to be in God’s likeness again. The problem is we need to clean out the old thinking.

No! What was restored was our spirit was regenerated and we became NEW CREATURES in Christ. Stick with scripture.

When we get to Romans 6:1-2 Dead to sin

yes we are dead in the fact that we are separated from sin, in that it is not our master. We also are dead, or separated, from the old way of thinking but those thoughts don't leave without teling (sic) tem (sic) to.

Where in scripture does it say what you're saying regarding we are separated from our old way of thinking? It does not. We never are separated from our carnal body until we are Raptured and in our glorified bodies. We are by faith living in these earthen vessels by THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST. Galatians 2:20 KJB. Where in scripture does it say thoughts don't leave without telling them to leave???

2 Corinthians 10:4,5

When we got saved from our debt and penalty of our sins.

We knew only how to….

Think like a lost man.
Act like a lost man &
labor like a lost man.

2 Corinthians 10:4,5 does NOT say this whatsoever. You're making this up. Why don't people read their KING JAMES Bible and call you out?

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Eph 4:20-25.

Put off the former conversation = what is telling you it's ok to do these things:

• worry

• easily agitated

• over stimulated

• fear

• hatred

• unforgiveness

• depression

• lust

• selfishness/evaluating yourself above others

• unthankful/uncaring

• anxiety

Ephesians 4:20-25 does not say the list you make. Also put off the old man reads like this:
22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

20But ye have not so learned Christ;

21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

1 Corinthian (sic) 1-4 Thinking

1 Corinthian (sic) 5-10 Acting

1 Corinthian (sic) 11-16 Laboring

2 Corinthian (sic) 2:1 I determined this with myself

With a stretch one might see the overall theme of 1 Corinthians Chapters 1 through 4 as "thinking" but this, at best, would only be a very small part. The reality of Chapters 1 through 4 if far more spiritual and our walk as spiritual and not carnal. As far as chapters 5 through 10 as acting, this pastor has taken extreme liberty not in doctrine with broad strokes. And it is bizarre that he would title and imagine 1 Corinthians 11-16 as Laboring. And, this pastor has absolutely taken 2 Corinthians 2:1 out of context. Here is what Paul states in 2 Corinthians 2:1 KJB:

But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.

Paul is talking about how he has made up his mind not to come again in heaviness. This is regarding an individual who has caused both him and the church of Corinth much trouble.

How was Paul able to determine something by himself?

1. He did the best he could

2. An angel of the Lord guided him.

How was Paul able to determine something by himself? He did the best he could, an angel of the Lord guided him.

Where is the scriptures that say these things especially in the context of 1 and 2 Corinthians?

3. Paul's inner man was built up enough that he understood God's thoughts. Define this and provide the scriptures.

The same way Paul (was) (sic) able to determine by himself so can you.

Being Carnally minded means that you are letting the things of the flesh rule your mind and not the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:5-6

To be carnally minded is functional .

No this does not say this. Here is what Romans 8:5,6 state:

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of

the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things

of the Spirit.

6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be

spiritually minded is life and peace.

1 Corinthians

4:1-7 Ungodly thinking

4:8 repoof (sic)

4:9-13 correction

4:14-17 Instruction in righteousness

My Full Commentary:

That pastor is in major error. He has it wrong and is seriously ignorant of scripture.

He needs to be taught DOCTRINE. It is obvious he is a Trinitarian perverting the GODHEAD which is Biblical.

Here's what God's word says and I have posted this in the Godhead vs Trinity Blogs.

Trinity is Pagan Practice of Polytheism in Mainstream Christianity #EndTimes #Apostasy (thethirdheaventraveler.com)

The Father - A Significant Title of Jesus Christ (thethirdheaventraveler.com)

Let's begin with Genesis 1:26,27 and 2:7.

The extensive background is on my blog studies but in a nutshell we know that God is speaking in the 1st person plural in both the object pronoun (us) and the subject pronoun (we). This proves Godhead meaning God is comprised of 3 PARTS = SPIRIT, SOUL, and Body .

Who is speaking here in Genesis 1:26?

Let's go to Colossians 1:16 for our answer.

Jesus Christ.

Colossians 2:9 tells us clearly that Jesus Christ is a BODY. PERSON. IMAGE. Study these words out for yourself and pray over these scriptures. There is only 1 PERSON (BODY) of the Godhead and that is Jesus Christ. And Colossians 1:15 proves that God is invisible, and Jesus is the IMAGE.

Now let's go back to Genesis 1:26

In our image means we human beings are created (out of the dust Gen 2:9) with a body i.e. head, face, arms, legs. This means we are created in the IMAGE of JESUS CHRIST. Please study the Come Meet My Kinsman Redeemer.

Next: AFTER His Likeness.

This Means we are created in the essence of (please research thus for yourself) God meaning we are 3 parts. Body Soul and Spirit.

Go to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJB We are 3 parts NOT 3 persons. Just as Jesus Christ is 3 parts not 3 persons who are one.

Use the Hebrew Lexicon to see exactly what word is used for God in Genesis 1:26: Elohim 433. אֱל֫וֹהַּ, (eloah) God. Yoke, Mighty Strength, The Strong Authority, Staff on the Shoulders, See Isaiah 9:4 KJB (For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.) The Shepherd's Staff. The power or might of one who rules or teaches. One who yokes with another. Often applied to rulers or a god. The Yoking together of two parties, A treaty or covenant binds two parties together through an oath. (yoke).

God my maker - Job 35:10; The Lord (Jehovah) Psalm 18:31, God my King Psalm 145:1, Word of God Proverbs 30:5 = Jesus Christ

Psalms 145:1
“(David's Psalm of praise.) I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.”

King James Version (KJV)

Amen

We have only ONE BODY

When I see you I only see ONE person. I do not see 3 of you.

The Trinitarians are mocking creation .. They say we're created in God’s image and then proceed to say there are 3 Gods in 3 separate persons that are really one person...👀

They say God the Father, God the Son (2nd Person of the Trinity) and God the Holy Spirit. 😢 😭
