Theater & Stream: A Film Podcast #027 - Wes Anderson's Roald Dahl Netflix Shorts

27

Despite releasing a feature-length film earlier this year, Wes Anderson has dropped four new short films with little notice on Netflix. This would normally be cause for celebration, but both Matt and Chuck can't help but feel like Anderson's best days are behind him, as he retreats further into his signature style. Still, Chuck was able to mine some satisfying Roald Dahl nostalgia out of the shorts. It's also been a massive week for film news, so we prioritized that, and let the Watchlist get a bit small. BUT next week..."The Watchlist" comes back with a vengeance! Have you seen all the films and TV coming out? It's gonna be CRAZY.
