The progression of warm and cold air masses is going to continue through much of October across the Great Lakes Region with temperatures bouncing from abnormally warm to abnormally cold, accompanied by passing pressure systems that could favor some showers and thunderstorms. Severe weather potential appears low for Thursday but a brief severe thunderstorm can't be ruled out in the Great Lakes Region depending on the timing of the setup.
