Survival. Everyone has watched those shows on TV and have thought about what it would be like to survive in the woods. I like to take it one step further and have embarked on several solo survival adventures. Alone on Vancouver Island, I test my survival skills built upon a knowledge base of bushcraft and camping, so call it bushcraft survival. Bringing limited gear and creating different survival scenerios each time, I go out to see what I can do alone in the wild. I'm not an expert and I have lots I can improve on. Each time I do a survival challenge I try to better myself and allow myself to grow. Most of us learn best from doing and I like being thrown in the deep end. Here are my experiences. Learn from them, criticize them, imagine what you could do better because you never know when you might end up in a survival situation.
Enjoy,
Dave from BC Bushcraft
