INGREDIENTS :

4 tenderised steaks ( cut optional )
1 medium chopped onion
8 minced garlic cloves
800 grams chopped tomatoes in juice ( 28.2 oz )
15 grams chopped parsley ( 0.52 oz )
20 + 20 grams butter ( 0.7 + 0.7 oz )
5 grams chopped basil ( 0.17 oz )
2 tablespoons tomato puree ( 29.8 grams )
2 + 1 tablespoons olive oil ( 29 + 14.5 ml )
1/4 teaspoon salt ( 0.57 grams )
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper ( 0.58 grams )
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes ( 1 gram )
1 teaspoon dried oregano ( 1 gram )
salt & pepper ( seasoning )

INSTRUCTIONS :

.season each steak on both sides with salt & pepper
.in a pan on medium heat add 20 grams butter
.once melted add 2 tablespoons olive oil
.sear each steak for 1 minute on each side ( 2 minutes total )
.in a large pan on medium heat add 20 grams butter
.once melted add 1 tablespoon olive oil
.add 1 medium chopped onion, cook for 1 minute
.add 8 minced garlic cloves, cook for 1 minute
.add 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
.add 2 tablespoons tomato puree & mix well
.add 800 grams chopped tomatoes in juice & mix well
.add most of chopped parsley ( leave some for garnish )
.add 5 grams chopped basil, 1/4 teaspoon salt
.add 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper & mix well
.add steak & any excess juice
.submerge steaks into the sauce
.cover with lid & cook for 20 minutes
