#Procession of the Patron Saint of #Leon #Nicaragua La Virgen de Mercedes | Virgin of Mercy

Vlog 24 September 2023 | Today we got invited up to the north east corner of El Centro in #leonnicaragua at the Iglesia El Calvario in Nicaragua to watch the city's procession of the patron saint: our lady of mercy / La Merced. This is a sombre, long, slow religious procession but so many people come out to see it. I filmed it on the Olympus EM1 MK2 so we have some serious footage of the event even though it took place at night.
