25th In our series the Epistle of 2nd Peter

I. The Four Horseman - Revelation 6:1-8
* A. White horse conquering the whole world
* 1. Bow is in Greek ‘Toxon' - poison tipped arrow
* 2. Crown in Greek is - Stephanos, in Latin - corona
* B. Fiery Red Horse - with great sword he takes peace from the earth
* 1. This could be World War III, sides being drawn up now
* 2. Or DOD turns against all peoples becoming DOG
* C. Black Horse a famine of all non-luxury foods
* D. Pale Horse - 1/4 of the world’s population is killed by four means, war, famine, disease and wild beasts

II. The Problem of Trusting the Untrustworthy - 2 Peter 2:14-15 
* A. Balaam’s twofold wickedness
* 1. Prophesying for money - Numbers 22:5-12
* a. The command of God is clear don’t go, and above all don’t curse Israel
* b. Balaam goes anyway - Numbers 22:21-33
* c. In attempting to curse he actually blesses Israel - Numbers 23:7-12; 24:10-11
* d. He further prophesies of the birth of Messiah - Numbers 24:17
* 2. Teaching God’s people to commit sexual immorality - 
* a. He taught the Moabites to seduce Israel thus bringing God’s judgment - Numbers 25:1-4, 6-8
* b. In the church of Pergamos the same wickedness was taught - Revelation 2:14
* B. When the godly road is rejected, insanity ensues - 2 Pet. 2:14-16
* 1. One who rejects God’s Law is dumber than a donkey
* 2. Loving the wages of unrighteousness is a disaster
* 3. Beware of false prophets, by their fruit you will know
