In this video I do a teardown of a 1995 Swatch. I then use its parts to partially restore a 1981 Swatch Zaugg Prototype, resulting in a Zaugg Prototype FrankenSwatch!

If you've ever wondered how over half a billion Swatches actually work, this video will answer that question in detail: all the way down to their tiny stepper motors.

I also discover and share how incredibly consistent the design has been for over 40 years since the first prototypes were made by Elmar Mock and Jacques Müller at ETA in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1981.
