‘If Senate focuses on Ukraine over America, that could cause real problems’ – McCarthy

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy commented on the debate surrounding government funding and a possible shutdown, saying if there was ‘a clean one (stopgap bill) without Ukraine on it, we could probably be able to move that through. If the Senate puts Ukraine on there and focuses on Ukraine over America, I think that could cause real problems.’
