Worthless? Or Priceless ?! It's Worthless According to Roland Ranfft. But What About That Perlage?

Sadly Dr. Roland Ranfft passed away in March of 2023. His passing is a huge loss to the watchmaking and watch restoration community. May he rest in peace!

In this video I swap out the movement in a vintage pocket watch case. Both parts (Adolph Schild ASSA movement and watch) were purchased from a Geneva, Switzerland Salvation Army thrift store for a total of Chf 8.80 (~$9 US dollars).

According to Hartmut Richter on Watchuseek the ASSA movement is likely an AS 793.
